H&AWOA - Tour of “Grimo Nut Nursery”
Niagara On the Lake
Location: 979 Lakeshore Rd,
Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0
Members will have a chance to experience a commercial nut nursery via a guided tour
led by Linda Grimo (Owner Operator).
The Grimo farm is one of the most unique nut tree sites in all of Ontario - don’t miss it.
The Tour will last 2 to 3 hours, after which members will be able to Tour Niagara-On-The
-Lake’s many Wineries at their leisure.
A list of suggested Wineries will be provided to attendee’s at the Event.
Car pooling is recommended

2016 H&AWOA - Annual General Meeting

Speaker: Joe Heeg is a Forestry Specialist
with the Grand River Conservation Authority and earned a
Masters in Forest Conservation from the University of Toronto.
Joe will present a ‘myth busters’ on windbreaks and hedgerows, and touch on the benefits of trees with
respect to erosion.
If your membership is due, this is an excellent time to renew!

3375 Reg. Rd. #20 (between #3 Hwy at Nelles Corners and Dunnville - closer to Cayuga Rd.)
8:30 AM TO 5:30 PM EACH DAY (picking may continue past the 25th depending on the harvest)
PAID picking: You MUST be 16 yrs. or older and you MUST complete this form: WPSO Cone Collection Contract.
$100 per hectolitre picked, will be paid. See contract for more info!
Bring your own drinks and lunch.
Dress for the weather and orchard conditions.
Wear long sleeves and a hat and boots or sturdy shoes – preferably ‘old stuff’
you don't care about keeping. Gloves are needed too. Prepare to get very sticky!
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated – any amount of time you can offer would be great.
VOLUNTEER opportunity: We also need volunteers to bag and tag the harvest.
